3 dedications for discerning direction

1. Dedicate our programs to QUALITY

(a). Discern what is true quality
Quality is not just what we like or favor. Quality is not our favorite color or type. Those things are preferences. Quality is defined as the standard of something as measured against other things of a similar kind. OR simply decribed, whichever thing is better, is more quality. A dog with health or temperament issues is not a quality dog. We should be dedicated to producing the best quality possible.

2. Dedicate our programs to the STANDARD

(a) A standard is an example held up so everyone can see. This standard should create an amazing dog when we visualize what it describes. Very few, if any dogs will ever reach the standard in every area. However, if we push for a standard dog in our own program that exemplifies the physical and mental traits of the standard, we are getting closer to reaching the perfect dog.

3. Dedicate our programs to GROWTH

(a) Our ideal dog may change down the road. Show me a breeder who is satisfied with where they are in thier life, and I will show you a breeder who has reached thier prime and will never grow further. they will eventually grow stagnant because they sit in one place, and in time, stagnation will cause them to rot. We do not remain in one place for long. A breeder is either going up, or going down. Getting better, or getting worse.
The Breeder who is constantly thinking, educating themselves, and moving will be the breeder who sees growth in thier program. Everybody knows something I dont know. Therefore, I can learn something from everybody. Education is the key to growth. Don't be like a sponge who soaks up water but doesn't give it back out. If you soak it up and keep it for yourself, you will grow hard, smelly, and useless. if you give it back out, you will be useful and effective.
